Drug use, possession and distribution are all punished severely in Kuwait, in the form of substantial prison sentences and monetary fines.

Alcohol is illegal in Kuwait and strictly prohibited for both Kuwaiti citizens and visitors. Its sale, importation, production or consumption are all punishable offences.
